When everything feels like too much
There are times when everything just feels… heavy.
Not always in a way you can explain.
Not always because something big has happened.
Sometimes it’s just a build-up of everything — small things, big things, things you haven’t had time to process — all sitting there at once.
You might notice it in different ways.
Feeling more overwhelmed than usual.
Snapping more quickly.
Struggling to focus.
Or just having this constant sense that you’re behind, even when you’re trying your best.
And when it feels like that, it’s easy to tell yourself you should be handling it better.
That you just need to get on with things.
Push through.
Be a bit stronger.
But the truth is, when everything feels like too much, it’s usually because you’ve been holding a lot for a long time.
And your mind and body are asking for a pause.
Not a perfect solution.
Not a full plan.
Just a moment to slow things down.
That might look like taking a step back from something that feels overwhelming.
Letting yourself rest without feeling like you need to earn it.
Or simply acknowledging, “this is a lot right now.”
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to have the right words.
Sometimes the first step is just recognising how you’re feeling — without judging it or trying to fix it straight away.
And if things have been feeling like this for a while, you don’t have to carry it on your own.
Having a space where you can talk things through, at your own pace, can make it feel a little less heavy.
Not because everything suddenly changes overnight —
but because you’re not holding it all by yourself anymore.
