You know something needs to change. This is where that happens.
Online and in-person from Llanelli, South Wales | £110 per session | AXA, Bupa, and WPA insurance accepted.
Wherever you're starting from.Whether this is your first time or you’ve been here before.
Maybe you've never done therapy and you're not quite sure what to expect. You just know something isn't working and you're ready to do something about it. That's enough to start.
Or maybe you've tried therapy before and it helped up to a point, but something keeps pulling you back. The same pattern, different day. You're not here because you haven't tried hard enough. You're here because understanding something and actually changing it are two different things.
Either way, this is the right place to be.
This might be right for you.How many times have you thought to yourself…
I know something isn't right but I can't explain what it is
I've tried to sort this out and it keeps coming back
Why do I keep ending up in the same place no matter how hard I try
I just want to feel like myself again; whatever that even means now
I'm holding it all together on the outside but underneath something isn't working
If you're nodding - this is for you.
Therapy with me is built around one thing: getting specific about what's actually driving your pattern and doing something about it. Not talking indefinitely. Not insight that fades by Monday. Real work, at your pace, that holds up in actual life.
This isn't therapy that goes round in circles.
Getting to the bottom of what's driving your patterns shouldn't mean years of talking about the same things without anything shifting. It should mean specific, purposeful work that actually moves.
Imagine leaving a session knowing exactly what's been driving a pattern you've carried for years. Understanding why you keep ending up in the same place, and having something concrete to reach for before you get there again.
This is what you can expect when we work together.
I bring eleven years of clinical experience and three evidence-based approaches to every piece of work - EMDR for trauma that talk therapy hasn't touched, DBT for the moments that feel unmanageable, and CAT for the patterns that keep playing out. Not one method applied to everyone. The right tool for what you're actually carrying.
How it all works
A free 15-minute call to start. I'll get a clear picture of what's going on and give you my honest read of what might help. Even if that turns out not to be me.
Here's how it rolls:
Step 1. Free consultation A 15-minute call to talk about what's brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. You'll leave with clarity about whether we're the right fit.
Step 2. First few sessions We build a formulation - a specific map of your pattern. Where it came from, what's keeping it going, what needs to shift. Something that makes sense of what has felt random or just the way you are.
Step 3. Ongoing sessions 50 minutes, weekly or fortnightly. Specific, practical work at your pace. No set number of sessions - we review as we go and finish when the work is done.
Step 4. Between sessions Something concrete to notice, try, or practise. Not overwhelming. Just enough to keep things moving outside the room.

Not sure if therapy is right for you?
That's completely normal. Most people who get in touch aren't sure - they just know something isn't working and they're tired of it.
You don't need a diagnosis, a crisis, or the right words to reach out. You don't need to have it figured out before we speak. The free call is exactly the place to work out whether therapy is what you need - and whether I'm the right fit for where you are right now.
Frequently asked questions
-
If something isn't working the way you want it to and you're ready to do something about it, that's enough. You don't need a diagnosis, a crisis, or a clear explanation of what's going on. Most people come to therapy knowing something isn't right - not knowing exactly what it is. That's where we start.
-
We spend the first session getting a proper picture of what's brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you want to be different. I'll start building a formulation - a map of your pattern that makes sense of what has felt random or just the way you are. You won't be asked to talk about everything at once. We go at your pace.
-
Most people come weekly or fortnightly. We'll work out what makes sense for you at the consultation. There's no set number of sessions - some people come for a focused block around something specific, others stay longer to work through something more complex. We review as we go.
-
Yes. I accept AXA, Bupa, and WPA. Contact your insurer before your first session to get an authorisation number. You'll be responsible for your excess payment directly.

Yes, with a small number of exceptions required by law - for example if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else. I'll explain the limits of confidentiality clearly at our first session so you know exactly where you stand before we begin.
In their own words.
"Having not accessed support until this moment, even though I have encouraged colleagues to seek assistance, I was cautious and sceptical. I found Dr Sutton extremely helpful and supportive, which allowed me to openly discuss anxiety and the ways to deal with it. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Sutton to anyone."
— PhilipFrom the very first session, Nicola created a safe and welcoming environment. Her empathic and non-judgmental approach allowed me to open up and explore my emotions in a meaningful way. She offered insightful perspectives and practical strategies that have helped me navigate through challenging times. Her guidance has been instrumental in my personal growth and in developing healthier coping mechanisms."
— Lucian"Nicola's support allowed me to understand and release a lot of issues that were holding me back. Her kind and warm nature immediately puts you at ease, allowing you to quickly feel comfortable enough to discuss difficult topics. I can't recommend her enough."
